The hotel is situated near King Abdulaziz International Airport on Corniche Road in Jeddah. This 34-story, the five-star hotel comprises 275 guestrooms, 25 serviced and 50 branded apartments, including an eight-story retail podium and basement for parking and services.
The scope of the project was to review the design which was completed by an initial consultation and to ensure compliance with local authority requirements. The client also wanted to incorporate substantial value engineering into the project whilst ensuring reliability and durability.
The civil works were ongoing in parallel during the redesign stage. The coordination meetings and regular communication with the contractor on site ensured minimal abortive works at the site.
The re-design was completed in 12 weeks meeting the client expectation in the cost savings
