Ducab-HV, a joint venture between the governments of Dubai and Abu Dhabi manufactures cable systems in the voltage range of 66kV (66,000 Volts) to 400kV (400,000 Volts) covering the highest voltage currently used in the GCC. Standing at 148m, the plant (equivalent to a 44-story residential tower) is the Gulf region’s tallest industrial tower.
DSI’s senior member was the lead design engineer responsible for the delivery of MEP Services ie electrical services for the project. At DSI, we are proud to have been entrusted with the design of MEP services for the Ducab HV Cable Factory in Dubai, UAE. This project was an exciting opportunity for us to showcase our expertise in delivering high-quality, efficient and sustainable solutions for complex industrial facilities.
Our team of experienced engineering consultants in Dubai worked closely with Ducab to understand their requirements and design MEP systems that would meet their specific needs. We took a collaborative approach, working closely with the client and other stakeholders to ensure that our designs aligned with their expectations.
The scope of our work on this project included the design of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems. We leveraged our expertise in these areas to develop innovative solutions that met the unique needs of the factory, while also ensuring that the systems were energy-efficient and sustainable. In addition to our design work, we also provided support throughout the construction process to ensure that our MEP systems were implemented correctly and to the highest standards of quality. We worked closely with the construction team to provide guidance and support, and to ensure that the final installation met our exacting specifications.
The result of our work on the Ducab HV Cable Factory project was a state-of-the-art industrial facility that is equipped with highly-efficient and sustainable MEP systems.
